Once your establishment has been approved as a RTB participant, you will receive our official window decal and a digital copy. Displaying the logo on customer entrances and your website is required for participants.

Participants must incorporate relevant RTB liquor service and ID verification policies into their employee handbook and/or relevant Standard Operating Procedures. Participants must adopt and post employee and patron codes of conduct (templates provided) RTB will provide participants with template policies, codes of conduct, and sample incident report forms.

Participants must adhere to strict ID check protocols. Depending on business models, this may include mandatory use of digital ID scanners at points of entry and/or sale. Manual checks must include visual age comparison, expiry validation, and/or UV light authenticity checks.

Participants must maintain at least one formal partnership with a taxi, ride share, or sober driver service. This partnership should be advertised to customers through QR codes or other visible means. Participants offer perks for designated drivers and promote safe ride home offerings to patrons. Participants will help RTB with DUI reporting and tracking.

Safe Ride Home Program
Participants should institute an inventory control system to track bottle usage and pouring consistency. Utilize existing POS systems to track patron alcohol orders.

Liquor Service Technology
Participants must ensure that all staff, including seasonal and part-time workers, complete a RTB approved liquor service training.

Liquor Service Training
Participants should partner with local police departments and/or other local coalitions to promote safe holiday campaigns, DUI awareness, and checkpoint notifications. Participants should engage with local community members through local festivals, events, and/or sponsorships.

Community Campaigns and Events
RTB is currently working with industry experts, and law enforcement to develop a standard best practice for camera placement and retention policy. If you are interested in participating in this discussion, please contact us.

Security Cameras
Participants should report incidents to RTB for inclusion in the RTB tracking database. RTB will share anatomized incident data with participants.
